Man United injury news vs. Crystal Palace: Will Hojlund, Shaw return to action?

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Manchester United will be bidding to make it three straight wins in all competitions when they head to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils recorded a 3-0 victory over Southampton in the league last weekend before thrashing Barnsley 7-0 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

The 20-time English champions are currently 10th in the Premier League table, having picked up six points from their first four matches of the new campaign.

Leny Yoro

Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Chelsea)

Yoro will be on the sidelines until at least the start of November due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during the club's pre-season clash with Arsenal in July.


Rasmus Hojlund

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 21 (vs. Palace)

Hojlund picked up a hamstring injury during a pre-season fixture with Arsenal and has been absent early in the season, but the Denmark international has a strong chance of making his comeback against Palace, having returned to training on Wednesday.


Tyrell Malacia

Malacia missed the entirety of last season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, and the Dutchman is still not ready to return, but head coach Erik ten Hag has said that the defender is "progressing really well".

Shaw has been absent early in the season due to a calf problem, but the club's left-back has a slight chance of being back in the squad for the Premier League fixture at Selhurst Park.
