Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola claims that his side have many areas to improve despite their strong start to the season.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that his side still have much room for improvement despite their strong start to the season.

The Citizens are unbeaten in all 17 of their games in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup so far this season, scoring a remarkable 54 goals in the process - an average of 3.2 per game.

In the Premier League, City have dropped just two points and sit eight points clear at the top of the table, putting them firmly in the driving seat in the race for the title.

"We can do better," Guardiola insisted today ahead of his side's trip to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon. "What I feel is that we still have a lot of things we can do better.

"If you analyse just the result, it's not a discussion but, in terms of playing and knowing what is going to happen in December with the schedule, we have to improve."

Guardiola's side will face nine fixtures in the space of 28 days in December, including heavyweight encounters with title rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
