Paris Saint-Germain reportedly emerge as contenders to sign soon-to-be free agent Georginio Wijnaldum when his Liverpool deal expires this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to rival Barcelona for the signature of Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Liverpool man is seemingly no closer to agreeing a new deal at Anfield, and he is widely expected to advance his career elsewhere when he becomes a free agent this summer.

Barcelona are thought to be at the head of the queue for Wijnaldum's signature, but a proposed move to Camp Nou reportedly relies on Ronald Koeman staying in the Blaugrana dugout.

According to L'Equipe, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is aiming to beef up his midfield this summer, and Wijnaldum has emerged as an ideal signing.

The report adds that Marco Verratti's potential exit could lead to PSG stepping up their interest, as the Italy international has been linked with a reunion with Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp expects Wijnaldum to remain committed to Liverpool until the end, with the Netherlands international starting 33 of the Reds' 37 Premier League games so far this season.
