Hugo Lloris: Tottenham Hotspur "gave up" in Liverpool rout

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris accuses his outfield teammates of 'giving up' in the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool last week.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has claimed that his outfield teammates "gave up" during the 5-0 thrashing to Liverpool at White Hart Lane last weekend.

The defeat proved to be Andre Villas-Boas's last game in charge at the North London outfit, with the 36-year-old parting company with the club a day later after an 18-month spell with the club.

"We didn't find a solution on the pitch in those games," the France international told The Mirror. "In the last game against Liverpool, I think the team gave up."

Managerless Spurs travel to the South Coast this afternoon for a clash with Southampton, which is scheduled to kick off at 1.30pm.
