Liverpool's Divock Origi: 'We can go all the way to the end in EFL Cup'

Divock Origi says that Liverpool have enough "quality" to reach the final of the EFL Cup after ousting Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round.

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has claimed that the team has enough "quality" to reach the final of the EFL Cup.

The Merseyside outfit booked a place in the quarter-finals of the competition with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp made wholesale changes to his team, while Mauricio Pochettino switched 11 players for the knockout match.

After the game, Origi told Liverpool's official website: "We're here and we want to go until the end. It won't be easy, but we showed a lot of character. We just have to play with a big heart every time and I'm sure that we have the quality to go until the end.

"We knew it would be intensive, but I think we showed big heart. It was a mix between young players and experienced players and we tried to enjoy the game and keep control of the game.

"At the beginning we had to find each other, we also changed the formation, but the coach told us just to play with our qualities and that he believed in us 100%, and we have a lot of quality in the group."

Daniel Sturridge, who has been struggling to earn a regular starting spot this season, scored both of Liverpool's goals.
