Danny Simpson: 'We're all behind Nigel Pearson'

Danny Simpson insists that the Leicester City squad is fully behind manager Nigel Pearson.

Leicester City defender Danny Simpson has said that the squad is fully behind manager Nigel Pearson.

Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa means that the Foxes have not won for 10 games, which leaves the East Midlands club bottom of the Premier League.

Pearson's position has been questioned by some supporters in recent weeks, but Simpson is confident that the team can pull away from relegation danger.

"We are all confident we can get out of this tough spot," he told the Leicester Mercury. "We are all 100% behind the manager and, if we weren't, you could probably see it from the outside.

"You can see form our performances that we are all behind him. You can tell on the training ground that everyone is giving their best.

"He is doing the right things and we are all doing the right things. It has to turn. A couple of wins and everything changes."

Leicester host Manchester City on Saturday.
