Goals from Fabian Espindola and Jonathan Steele seal a 2-0 for the New York Red Bulls over Houston Dynamo in the MLS.

New York Red Bulls have gone second in the MLS Eastern Conference courtesy of a comfortable win over Houston Dynamo at the Red Bull Arena.

Mike Petke's men, who had lost their previous three matches, took the lead on the hour mark when Fabian Espindola latched onto Eric Alexander's through-ball and finished well from 12 yards.

Jonathan Steele made sure of the three points two minutes from time with a crisp left-footed finish following a clever Thierry Henry assist.

Houston stay fifth in the table.
