Germany win Women's Euro 2013

Germany win their sixth consecutive women's European Championship with a 1-0 victory over Norway in the final in Stockholm.

Germany have won their sixth consecutive women's European Championship with a 1-0 victory over Norway in the final in Stockholm.

The Norwegians had the chance to take the lead during the first half, but Trine Ronning saw her penalty saved by Nadine Angerer after Cathrine Dekkerhus was brought down in the area.

The defending champions made the breakthrough soon after the restart as substitute Anja Mittag fired in Celia Okoyino da Mbabi's cross.

Norway were awarded a second penalty around the hour mark following a foul on Caroline Hansen, but Angerer again kept the ball out of the net when she palmed away Solveig Gulbrandsen's shot.

Nadine Kessler nearly added a second for Germany late on, only to scuff her shot against the post.
