Martyn Margetson appointed Everton goalkeeping coach

Everton appoint former Wales international Martyn Margetson as the club's goalkeeping coach.

Everton have appointed former Wales international Martyn Margetson as the club's goalkeeping coach.

The 46-year-old joins up with Toffees manager Sam Allardyce for the fourth time in his career, having previously worked together at West Ham United, Crystal Palace and England.

The former goalkeeper moves to Merseyside from Selhurst Park, having had a 15-year playing career between 1992 and 2007.

Margetson made 50 appearances for Manchester City, before having spells at Southend United, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.

The once-capped Welshman joins assistant manager Sammy Lee, first-team coach Craig Shakespeare and performance director Ryland Morgans at Goodison Park.
