Defender Michael Keane has said that the England players have not been distracted by speculation over Gareth Southgate's role with the Three Lions.
It has been suggested that Southgate could be given the role as England boss on a full-time basis should he achieve a positive result against Scotland on Friday night, but Keane has insisted that he and his teammates have placed little attention on the latest reports.
The 23-year-old told reporters: "The main thing is to focus on the performance on Friday. There's obviously nothing that the lads can do about Gareth's position.
"He's been fantastic but we've got to focus on what we can. If we play well and get a good result, I'm sure that can only help."
Keane has received his second call-up to the senior setup after impressing for Burnley since their return to the Premier League.
