Half-Time Report: Huddersfield Town turnaround stuns Derby County

Three goals in seven minutes see Huddersfield Town lead Derby County 3-1 at half time at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town are on course to extend their unbeaten run to five games after taking a 3-1 lead into half time against Derby County.

Derby enjoyed most of the early possession but it was the home side who created the first opening through Sean Scannell, who forced a solid save out of Lee Grant after a run into the penalty area.

However, just after the quarter-hour mark, Derby went in front thanks to Tom Ince, who fired an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

Derby continued to have the majority of possession, but Huddersfield remained a threat in attack, with Nahki Wells missing the target after being set up by Ishmael Miller.

That opening encouraged the home side, and seven minutes before the break, they were back on level terms when Oscar Gobern controlled a cross from Conor Coady before firing the ball into the net.

Three minutes later, the turnaround was complete when Mark Hudson powered a header past Grant before the Rams were stunned in first-half injury time when Reece James curled a corner in at the near post.
