Neil Warnock hails "tremendous" result

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock says that he was "chuffed" with his side's 3-3 draw at Newcastle United this afternoon.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has said that his side's 3-3 draw with Newcastle United this afternoon was a "tremendous" result for his side.

Warnock was appointed as the Palace manager on Wednesday and helped his side to their first point of the season at St James' Park in his second stint at the club.

The Eagles trailed 3-2 deep into injury time, but substitute Wilfried Zaha rescued a point in the 94th minute, which left Warnock delighted.

"They were poor goals to concede, but the effort was tremendous," Warnock told BBC Sport after the game.

"I've decided not to rush into the transfer market because they're a great bunch and I'm chuffed with the attitude of them.

"Tony [Pulis] must have done a great job because they've got a great attitude and determination and they can play a bit, too."

Warnock's previous spell in charge of the Selhurst Park side came between 2007 and 2010.
