Scottish League Two roundup: Albion Rovers gain ground on leaders Arbroath

Albion Rovers reduce Arbroath's lead at the top of Scottish League Two with a 2-0 win against Annan Athletic.

Albion Rovers have reduced Arbroath's lead at the top of Scottish League Two to four points after defeating Annan Athletic 2-0 at home.

Marc McKenzie and Josh Mullin were on target for the hosts in the second half, while Arbroath threw away a two-goal lead to draw at home to Montrose.

Berwick moved within a point of the playoffs after thrashing struggling East Stirlingshire 3-0 with goals from Scott Maxwell, Steven Notman and Ross Drummond, leaving their opponents just two points off the foot of the table.

The derby clash between Queen's Park and Clyde marked the return of professional football to Hampden Park, and the home side needed a last-minute penalty kick to rescue a point, Darren Miller firing home from 12 yards to secure a 1-1 draw.

Bottom club Elgin City's home match against East Fife fell victim to the weather.
