Hibernian to loan Chelsea's Scotland Under-21 international Islam Feruz?

Young Chelsea striker and Scotland Under-21 international Islam Feruz will join Scottish Championship side Hibernian on a season-long loan deal, according to a report.

Scottish Championship side Hibernian are close to securing the loan signing of Chelsea forward Islam Feruz, a report suggests.

The Scotland Under-21 international, who joined the Blues in September 2011, will move to Hibs for the season, according to Sky Sports News.

The nineteen-year-old, who had been on Celtic's books since the age of 10, rejected the chance to sign a professional contract with the Bhoys in 2011 in favour of a switch to Chelsea.

The youngster ended last season on loan at Blackpool, where he managed just two substitute appearances for a side that was relegated to League One.

The Somalian-born striker signed a new long-term deal with Chelsea in January 2014.
