Preview: Chelsea vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole looks ahead to what could be an explosive encounter between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea and Liverpool go head to head on Sunday, with the home side determined to end their poor record against the Merseyside outfit.

The Reds have snatched the double over their West London opponents in their last two seasons but the Blues are just one point away from league leaders Manchester United in the table and will not want to drop back from their position in the title race.

Fernando Torres has yet to score against his former club since he made the switch from Anfield to Stamford Bridge for £50m in 2011.

The Spaniard is expected to start up front for Roberto Di Matteo's side at the weekend, while John Obi Mikel and Ramires should hold the midfield with Eden Hazard and Oscar on the wings.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers is likely to enlist the services of his established stars by recalling Luis Suarez to the lineup, with Steven Gerrard, Nuri Sahin and Joe Allen sitting in midfield.
