Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham scores for the fourth Champions League game running as the Bundesliga side draw 1-1 with Sevilla.

Jude Bellingham wrote himself into another chapter in the history books as Borussia Dortmund drew 1-1 with Sevilla in Champions League Group G.

The 19-year-old scored for the fourth European game running - breaking Wayne Rooney's record of three Champions League goals for an English teenager in a single season - as he cancelled out Tanguy Nianzou's header at the Westfalenstadion.

Sevilla set out to avenge last week's 4-1 defeat to Edin Terzic's side in front of their own fans, which was the final nail in Julen Lopetegui's coffin, and Jorge Sampaoli witnessed a resilient showing from his crop.

Los Palanganas would get off to the perfect start at the Westfalenstadion, as ex-Bayern Munich centre-back Nianzou met Ivan Rakitic's inswinging free-kick to head home into the bottom corner for the Spanish visitors in the 17th minute.

Dortmund struggled to contain a much-improved Sevilla side, but they were then aggrieved when a challenge on Bellingham inside the area with 26 minutes gone did not result in a spot kick.

However, Bellingham would not need to win a penalty to get Dortmund back into the contest, as with 35 minutes on the clock, the 19-year-old got himself on the scoresheet again, meeting Thomas Meunier's ball into the box with a side-foot volley into the back of the net.

Nianzou went from hero to zero in the process, as the ball took a significant deflection off of the Sevilla defender for Bellingham's fourth goal in the 2022-23 Champions League – setting a new record for English teenagers after Rooney's three in 2004-05.

An unrecognisable Dortmund side from the first half piled on the pressure after the break, but there was no change in the scoreline heading into the final 20 minutes.

Neither side could find the game-winning goal in the dying embers, and Dortmund now have a five-point buffer over Sevilla heading into the penultimate matchday.

The German giants will aim to seal progress to the last 16 when they tackle Manchester City in two weeks' time, while Sevilla will play host to basement side Copenhagen.
