Birmingham City have agreed a deal with Charlton Athletic that will see Michael Morrison make his loan move permanent in January.
The 26-year-old is on loan with the Blues until the end of December, but will make his stay permanent once next month's transfer window opens.
He joined Birmingham at the end of October and has gone on to make seven straight starts for Gary Rowett's improving Blues.
He has agreed to a three-and-a-half year contract until the end of the 2017-18 season.
A centre-back, Morrison moved to Charlton from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2011 and has missed just four league games over the last three seasons.
However, he fell out of favour with new Addicks boss Bob Peeters this campaign.
