Barcelona centre-back Marc Bartra believes that Argentina will triumph in the World Cup final this evening.
Bartra's club teammates Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi are both involved tonight against Germany and the Spaniard has backed the South American side to claim the trophy.
"It will be a hard-fought game. I'll go for Argentina, for my teammates, Masche and Leo," he told Mundo Deportivo.
"To have two world champions in the locker room would be very good for us. It's clear that Leo only needs to win the World Cup to be the greatest.
"Mascherano is a leader, and we have seen that with Argentina. At Barca there are a lot of leaders, captains. Masche is very professional, always giving advice, and personally I am happy to have him as a partner."
No European team has ever won the World Cup on South American soil.
