Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Champions League between Juventus and Atletico Madrid. The visitors hold a 2-0 advantage ahead of the second leg in Turin, but the Italian champions will believe that they can still qualify for the quarter-finals. The two teams are making their way out, so let's see who features in each starting lineup...

JUVENTUS XI: Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Spinazzola; Can, Pjanic, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Mandzukic, Ronaldo

ATLETICO MADRID XI: Oblak; Arias, Gimenez, Godin, Juanfran; Koke, Saul, Rodri; Lemar, Morata, Griezmann

KICKOFF:  Juventus get us underway!

Juventus have wasted little time in going on the front foot, and a cutback from Matuidi has to be intercepted by Godin. Atletico are sitting very deep when they don't have the ball.

DISALLOWED GOAL!  We are five minutes in and VAR is already involved! Juventus have a corner and a flick on at the near post leads to chaos. Chiellini fires home from close range, but Ronaldo is deemed to have kicked the ball out of the grasp of Oblak before the defender scored. Juventus are furious and they have every reason to be. The goalkeeper did not have full control of the ball.

It's a hugely controversial call. I'm not sure how VAR have deemed that not to be a goal, but the game continues and Atletico have breathed a sigh of relief.

Juventus are playing at a high tempo but in all fairness, so are Atletico on the counter. This game is shaping up nicely.

We have not any shots on goal since the disallowed goal, but Juventus are making most of the running. I don't expect Gimenez and Godin to leave the edge of their own 18-yard box this evening.

It is worth us noting that one goal for Atletico will lead to Juventus needing four goals to have any chance of progression through to the quarters.

Spinazzola is almost playing as a winger rather than a left-back. A cross has just been delivered into the area, but the ball was cleared before it reached Ronaldo.

Atletico are allowing Juventus very little space in the final third, especially within 25 yards of goal. Juventus are continuing to dominate possession, but they don't have much to show for it.

Matuidi has just been taken out by Arias on the byline, but the referee did not budge. Juventus have had very little go for them in the first 19 minutes.

Juventus have actually delivered some excellent crosses from either flank, but Gimenez and Godin are gobbling everything up.

SHOT!  It's Atletico turn to come forward and Koke is keen to find the top corner from 25 yards out, but the ball goes harmlessly off target. Griezmann wanted the pass.

SHOT!  The visitors are beginning to have some joy in possession and on the attack. A long-range strike from Griezmann needs to be tipped over the crossbar by Szczesny.

GOAL!  Juventus 1-0 Atletico Madrid (Cristiano Ronaldo)

GOAL!  Game on! Bernardeschi delivers a superb cross from the left-hand side of the penalty area and it finds Ronaldo, who powers a header inside the near post after getting the better of Juanfran.

That's only Ronaldo's second goal of this season's Champions League, but it could be a significant one. You get the sense that Atletico are going to require a goal this evening.

Juventus win a free kick around 30 yards from goal after Rodri upends Bernardeschi. Guess who is going to take it?

SHOT!  If you guessed Ronaldo, then you guessed wrong. It was Bernardeschi, who curled a left-footed effort marginally over Oblak's crossbar.

SHOT!  Bernardeschi has been heavily involved in this contest, and the Italian has just attempted one of the most audacious overhead kicks that you will ever see. It went wide, but it highlights the playmaker's confidence.

Just the nine minutes to go until the break - this first half has flown by! Juventus are in control of this contest but not the tie. Atletico are still offering plenty going forward.

I've been impressed with Lemar this evening. He is doing an effective job of coming in off the left and getting his teammates involved. Juventus don't know how to deal with him.

Atletico have spent the last couple of minutes on the ball, and they are giving Juventus plenty to think about. Many would have expected Atletico to try to defend their slender advantage, but it is the complete opposite.

Juventus eventually regained possession and are now plotting their own attack. Atletico have retreated and now just want to see out this first half.

CHANCE!  Spinazzola delivers another peach of a cross from the left flank but on this occasion, Ronaldo heads wide of the post. The Portuguese should have done better.

CHANCE!  An outswinging corner from the right finds Chiellini by the penalty spot, and the defender sees his powerful header tipped over the crossbar by Oblak. Juventus are finishing this first half well on top.

There will be two minutes of added-on time.

CHANCE!  Big chance for Atletico! A cross from the right appears perfect for Morata to find the far corner with his header, but the Spaniard heads over! How important could that be?

HALF TIME:  Juventus 1-0 Atletico Madrid

The half-time whistle goes in Turin, and Juventus lead thanks to Ronaldo's header. The home side could be more goals to the good on the night, but Atletico have somehow stayed ahead on aggregate. We have some second half coming up...

Here's a quick rundown of who Allegri and Simeone can call upon in the second half...

JUVENTUS: Perin, Caceres, Dybala, Kean, Rugani, Bentancur, Caviglia

ATLETICO MADRID: Adan, Kalinic, Correa, Savic, Perez, Carro, Montero

KICKOFF:  Atletico get us back underway.

Both teams have already gone on the attack since the restart. It bodes well for the rest of the contest. However, there has been a goal...

GOAL!  Juventus 2-0 Atletico Madrid (Cristiano Ronaldo)

GOAL!  Juventus are back on level terms! Initially, it looks like Oblak has pulled off an oustanding save, but goalline technology rules that Ronaldo's towering header from 12 yards has gone a matter of inches over the line.

If things remain the same, we will have extra time. If there is a third goal, the game will be decided in normal time. Just getting that out there now...

Atletico are effectively being forced to go looking for an away goal. You just can't see the visitors keeping this to just the two strikes, whether that be in normal time or extra time.

Juventus are delivering cross after cross. They have been relentless. Bernardeschi would have surely have netted from close range had he been two inches taller.

SUBSTITUTION! Simeone has seen enough. Correa has been brought on for Lemar.

Ronaldo has a chance to bag his hat-trick with a free kick from 25 yards, but his effort goes into the wall.

We move through the hour mark with this game still finely poised. Juventus are making all of the headway, but Morata is ready to try to latch onto any ball sent over the top of the home side's backline.

SHOT!  This is ambitious from Correa, who tries to pick out the near top corner with a swerving effort from distance. However, Szczesny is not alarmed.

Atletico are being forced into making mistakes and wrong choices. This is a high-level performance from Juventus.

YELLOW CARD!  Bernardeschi goes into the book for a coming together with Arias.

SUBSTITUTION! Juventus make their first alteration and it is a surprise one. Dybala has replaced Spinazzola. It looks like Bernardeschi has gone to left-back.

Morata and Chiellini have got into a confrontation, with the Spaniard twice pushing the defender to the ground. Chiellini didn't need much encouragement to go down, and the referee deals with the situation without dishing out any yellow cards.

The chances have dried up at both ends of the pitch. It makes you wonder whether the clubs are wary of conceding a potentially-decisive goal.

YELLOW CARD!  Juanfran goes in late on Ronaldo, and the left-back deservedly picks up a yellow card.

Pjanic finds Mandzukic from the resulting free kick, but the Croatian can do nothing with the ball under pressure from Godin.

Juventus are continuing to plough forward in numbers with both full-backs getting forward, but they still cannot get another effort on Oblak's goal.

SUBSTITUTION! Atletico make a second switch with Vitolo replacing Arias.

Atletico have managed to get a couple of crosses into the area over the past few minutes, but Szczesny is able to deal with the danger.

SUBSTITUTION! Juventus' second alteration sees Kean come on for Mandzukic.

CHANCE!  What a chance for Kean! A long ball is deflected into the path of Kean and the youngster is through on goal. However, the forward scuffs his volley from 10 yards wide of the post.

PENALTY!  Juventus have a penalty! Bernardeschi drifts inside and leaves Correa behind him, and the Argentine decides to push the Italian down just inside the area!

GOAL!  Juventus 3-0 Atletico Madrid (Cristiano Ronaldo)

GOAL!  Ronaldo steps up and dispatches the penalty into the bottom corner. Oblak dived the opposite way. Atletico need a goal!

This has been quite the turnaround. Atletico rarely concede three goals in a match, but it could have easily have been more.

There will be five minutes of added-on time.

YELLOW CARD!  Vitolo is the next Atletico man to go into the book. Time is running out for the visitors.

Chiellini is again feigning injury to waste a little bit of time. It was the Italian who committed the foul!

FULL TIME:  Juventus 3-0 Atletico Madrid

The full-time whistle goes in Turin and Juventus are through to the quarter-finals! Ronaldo's hat-trick has resulted in the Italian giants completing a deserved comeback win over Atletico, who barely threatened in the second half.

That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this evening and we hope to see you again soon.
