Lambert: 'Clark can learn from Hansen'

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert feels that defender Ciaran Clark should listen to the advice of pundit Alan Hansen.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert believes that defender Ciaran Clark can learn a lot from former Liverpool defender Alan Hansen.

Hansen in his role as a television pundit cast an eye over the 23-year-old's performance in Villa's 3-3 draw with Everton last week.

"I think when you're a young player then you could do a lot worse than look at that (Hansen's assessment), that's for sure," Lambert told reporters.

"When you have somebody of that ilk and that stature in the game it's always good to learn.

"But also it's important you look at your positives as well. I think Ciaran would be pretty fine with that."

Villa are currently 19th in the Premier League table, two points adrift of safety.
