Lukas Podolski has admitted that he will consider leaving Arsenal in January and has planned showdown talks with manager Arsene Wenger.
The Germany international forward has been pushed down the pecking order at the club by the arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, and has not started in the Premier League this season.
Podolski hinted that he may have to leave the club to find regular first-team football as he is unwilling to play a backup role at the age of 29.
"If my situation doesn't change I'll have to think about leaving in the winter," Podolski is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"I don't like sitting on the bench. I am 29 and I want to play. I will speak with the manager and then see what happens."
Podolski joined Arsenal in 2012 from FC Koln.
