Arsenal 'want Dennis Praet as Aaron Ramsey replacement'

Arsenal identify Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who is joining Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The Gunners are expected to be in the market for a new midfielder this summer, with Ramsey's departure set to leave a hole in the squad.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Unai Emery's side are considering a swoop for Praet, who could be available for £17m in this summer's transfer window.

Praet - a three-time Belgium international - joined Sampdoria from Anderlecht in 2016 and has made 101 appearances for the Italian club in all competitions.

This season, the midfielder has scored twice and provided two assists in 32 appearances for I Blucerchiati.
