Aston Villa reportedly fail with another approach for Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe, who has two years left on his contract.

Arsenal have reportedly rejected a second bid from Aston Villa for midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

The Arsenal academy graduate made 26 starts in the Premier League and Europa League last season, establishing himself as a key first-team player.

However, with just two years left on his contract, Villa have been heavily linked with an approach for the 20-year-old.

According to the Evening Standard, the West Midlands outfit have failed with a £30m offer, a substantial increase from the £25m bid made earlier this month.

While Smith Rowe is said to be keen to remain at his boyhood club, he is yet to reach an agreement over fresh terms in North London.

Arsenal have allegedly informed Villa that Smith Rowe will not be allowed to leave this summer.
