Arsene Wenger: "We have to keep the faith"

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that his side have to keep faith in their ability, despite their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is adamant that his side cannot afford to lose confidence following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League.

The Gunners lost for the first time at the Emirates Stadium this season as they were made to rue missed chances. An own goal from Kieran Gibbs and a strike from Wayne Rooney fired the Red Devils to victory.

Wenger told reporters: "We have to keep the faith in what we are doing. It was a game that we dominated for 80% of the time.

"But we were not efficient enough offensively and then we made a mistake at the back. Their goalkeeper [David de Gea] was man-of-the-match and that was the story of the game."

Wenger's men also slipped 15 points behind leaders Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title with the defeat to Louis van Gaal's side.
