Team News: Danny Welbeck leads Arsenal attack against Manchester United

Danny Welbeck starts up front for Arsenal against his former side Manchester Untied, with both sides making two changes for the clash at the Emirates.

Danny Welbeck will spearhead the Arsenal attack against his former side Manchester United at the Emirates this evening.

The England international will line up against the side that he joined as an eight-year-old for the first time, after switching allegiances in the summer.

Arsene Wenger has made two changes for the clash, dropping Mathieu Flamini and Santi Carzola for Jack Wilshere and the fit-again Mikel Arteta.

Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal has opted for a 3-5-2 formation, as Tyler Blackett forms a central defensive trio alongside Paddy McNair and Chris Smalling.

Daley Blind misses out after suffering a knee ligament injury on international duty, but David de Gea starts despite dislocating a finger while playing for Spain.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Sanchez, Welbeck
Subs: Martinez, Bellerin, Flamini, Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

Man Utd: De Gea, Valencia, McNair, Smalling, Blackett, Shaw, Carrick, Fellaini, Di Maria, Rooney, Van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Fletcher, Herrera, Young, Mata, Januzaj, Wilson
