Arsenal are reportedly ready to tempt Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers into taking the vacant managerial role at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers as a potential replacement for Unai Emery.

On Friday morning, the Gunners hierarchy opted to remove the Spaniard from his position in the dugout after seven matches without a win in all competitions, which has contributed to the club sitting eight points adrift of the top four in the Premier League standings.

While Freddie Ljungberg has been placed in temporary charge, the club's board will continue to consider a long-term successor.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal chiefs are interested in holding discussions with Rodgers, who has guided Leicester into second spot in the table.

However, having only moved to the Foxes at the beginning of 2019, Rodgers has frequently stated that he his happy and settled at the King Power Stadium.

Rodgers has a contract with Leicester until the end of the 2021-2022 campaign.
