Kenny de Schepper overcomes Juan Monaco

World number 80 Kenny de Schepper advances into the fourth round of Wimbledon with a 6-4 7-6 6-4 victory over Juan Monaco.

World number 80 Kenny de Schepper has booked his place in the fourth round of Wimbledon with a 6-4 7-6 6-4 victory over Juan Monaco on Saturday.

Both players served well in the first set, but a break of serve at 4-5 allowed De Schepper to claim the opener in just over 40 minutes of tennis.

The duo could not be separated in the second, however, with a break of serve apiece moving the set into a tie-break. It was the Frenchman who once triumphed to move into a 2-0 lead against the experienced Monaco.

Just the one break of serve occurred in the third and what proved to be the final set, with De Schepper breaking at 3-3 before eventually serving it out to book his spot in the next round.
