Top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan have been beaten in the semi-finals of the US Open men's doubles.
The brothers, who have won 15 Grand Slam titles, were looking to win all four titles in one year having been successful at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon already this season.
They came unstuck this afternoon though, losing 6-3 3-6 4-6 to Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek.
The veteran Indian star and the accomplished singles player recovered after losing the opening set, and dominated in the second, breaking Bob Bryan's serve twice.
Paes's combination of drop-volleys and powerful forehands continued to punish the Bryans in the final set.
He was broken at 5-2 though, giving the American pair an opportunity to come back, but Stepanek served out the match at the second time of asking to consign the favourites to defeat.
