Serena Williams has insisted that she will take it "a match at a time" after making her comeback from a virus.
The world number one had to pull out of competing at Wimbledon earlier this summer, but she revealed earlier this week that she was now fit and ready to defend her US Open title.
Williams brushed aside Karolina Pliskova in straight sets in her first match back last night in the Bank of the West Classic.
"I'm still taking it a match at a time," BBC Sport quotes her as saying. "I'm just worried about doing what I want to do and what I've been practising on the court. But I wasn't feeling any nerves today. I felt good. And I felt fine physically."
The US Open gets underway on August 25.
