Seventh seed Jelena Jankovic is comprehensively beaten in the first round of Wimbledon by Kaia Kanepi.

Seventh seed Jelena Jankovic has been comprehensively beaten in the first round of Wimbledon by Kaia Kanepi.

The Serbian was broken in her first service game and wasn't able to trouble Kanepi's serve as the Estonian remained strong and served out the opener 6-3.

Kanepi then broke again at the start of the second before sealing victory 6-3 6-2 in comfortable fashion on No.2 Court.

Czech wildcard Karolina Pliskova awaits Kanepi in the second round.
