World number one Novak Djokovic has said that he is not expecting an easy ride when he takes on Andreas Seppi in the third round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows.
The Serbian, who has won the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year, booked his place in the third round with a straight-sets win over Andreas Haider-Maurer on Wednesday.
When asked by reporters about his opponent, Djokovic said: "Seppi is somebody who has been around for many years. He has very solid game from back of the court.
"If you allow him to play, he can play well. No question about it, he's got shots. He was I think top 15, top 20 in the world. He's been there for many years. He has experience.
"He played on Arthur Ashe. He's not going to get overwhelmed by the occasion. I'm going to try to obviously impose certain tactics, trying to control the game and kind of set my own pace to that match."
One of Djokovic's nine Grand Slam triumphs occurred at the US Open.
