Novak Djokovic loves the US Open

Novak Djokovic says that his love for the US Open rivals that for the Australian Open - a tournament that he has won four times.

World number one Novak Djokovic has spoken of his love for the US Open after reaching his fourth straight final at Flushing Meadows.

The Serbian also contested the final against Roger Federer in 2007 - his first in a Grand Slam - but will be looking to make it two wins from his five finals when he takes on Rafael Nadal on Monday.

Speaking after his five-set victory over Stanislas Wawrinka, the 26-year-old said that he feeds off the special atmosphere whenever he takes to the court in New York.

"I love playing on Arthur Ashe," Djokovic told reporters. "Next to Australian Open that I won four times, I think this is definitely my most successful court that I played on.

"Playing four finals now in a row and five in total, it's great. I mean, seven, eight years that I have been coming back here I have played at least semifinals in every US Open. Fantastic.

"I have this great kind of feeling and atmosphere that goes around US Open. I love the energy here, but I also have a big team of people and I stay at a friend's house. It's kind of this family sensation. It gives me a great deal of motivation, but also comfort."

Nadal and Djokovic have both voiced their opposition to a Monday final.
