World number five Agnieszka Radwanska is through to round three of the BNP Indian Wells Open after a slick 6-2 6-4 win over Romanian Sorana Cirstea.

The pair had met on four previous occasions and won two matches each, but today there only looked like being one winner right from the outset.

After basic errors allowed her opponent hang onto her first two service games, Radwanska eradicated the errors to claim four games on the spin and take the first set at a canter.

The Pole continued her dominance at the start of set two by winning three of the first four games to love.

World number 48 Cirstea battled gamely and offered moments of brilliance, especially with her two-handed backhand, to earn three breaks in set two.

Radwanska, who reached the semi-finals of this event in 2010, proved too strong though and broke in game 18 to wrap up the win.
