Philipp Kohlschreiber has booked his place in the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open with a straight-sets victory over Richard Gasquet.
The German came through 7-5 7-5 after one hour and 36 minutes of tennis.
Kohlschreiber and Gasquet traded breaks early on, but it was the former who made the crucial break at 5-5 before going on to serve out the set.
The second set followed a similar pattern, with Kohlschreiber breaking the Gasquet serve to move 6-5 ahead. The world number 27 then went on to serve the match out to love.
He will face either compatriot Michael Berrer or Dutchman Igor Sijsling in the last eight.
