David Goffin has said that he will leave Paris with no regrets having given it his all against Roger Federer.
The Belgian managed to take the first set before bowing out of the French Open in four to the world number three.
The 21-year-old, who will net around £65,000 for reaching the third round at Roland Garros, said that he will never forget playing against the man he idolises.
"It was a very nice match," said Goffin. "It was a great moment which I will never forget, but I hope to have more moments like it.
"I was tired by the end because I have played a lot of matches at this tournament, but I have no regrets, I gave it all I could."
Goffin was entered into the tournament due to Gael Monfils's injury.
