Rafael Nadal will be back in action tomorrow (Friday) to face France's Richard Gasquet in the semi-final of the Davis Cup.
The Spaniard had been a doubt for the competition after a gruelling schedule at the US Open, which concluded with his four-set final loss to Novak Djokovic on Monday night.
"I'm tired for sure, I played a long match Monday," Nadal told reporters today. "It's not a mental problem to play, it's more of a physical problem but I'm ready to play for my country."
He later tweeted: "Game tomorrow at 12 against Gasquet! Hopefully I can start well and help the team!"
Nadal has beaten Gasquet, the number 15 seed, in all nine of their encounters on the ATP tour.
