Bernard Tomic prepared to make changes against Philipp Kohlschreiber

Bernard Tomic admits that he may have to adopt a different approach against Philipp Kohlschreiber in the second round of the Australian Open.

Bernard Tomic has admitted that he will have to adopt a different approach if he is to be successful against Philipp Kohlschreiber in the second round of the Australian Open.

The home favourite heads into the match as the underdog against the 22nd seed, but he is hopeful of finding the right strategy to force his German rival out of his comfort zone.

"It's going to be difficult. He's very smart and very good with the game," Tomic told reporters. "He controls it well with the rallies. For me, it's tough to get in and attack a lot of his balls because he's very smart.

"I have to find a strategy to play well against him and hopefully serve well. That's most important for me."

Tomic earned a victory over Kohlschreiber at the Apia International in Sydney last week.
