Alize Cornet: 'I'll need to be at my best to beat Dominika Cibulkova'

French player Alize Cornet says that she will have to be at her best in order to beat Dominika Cibulkova.

Alize Cornet has said that she is expecting a tough battle against 11th seed Dominika Cibulkova in the Australian Open third round.

Cornet beat Denisa Allertova over three sets to set up the tie, and she expects to face an ever harder match against the experienced Russian.

She told reporters: "It will be a good battle against Dominika, she's a good fighter, she never gives up and she's always very energised on the court. I know I will have to do a lot of work to beat her, and play my best tennis.

"I will be ready for this match, I will talk about the tactics with my coach and I will try to be fit physically, and at 100% of my capacity."

Cornet is seeded 19th in Melbourne.
