Dominika Cibulkova happy with "extremely good" match

Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova says that she needed an "extremely good" match to beat two-time champion Victoria Azarenka at the Australian Open.

Dominika Cibulkova has said that she played an "extremely good" match to knock Victoria Azarenka out at the Australian Open.

The Slovakian was the runner up in 2014, but struggled at the other three Grand Slams last year, losing in round three at the French Open and Wimbledon before exiting in the first round at the US Open.

The world number 10 told reporters: "I don't have a big serve obviously, so I just put a lot of energy in my tennis [and] I go for my winners. Today was extremely, extremely good match from my side."

Cibulkova will face world number one Serena Williams in the quarter-finals.
