Tomas Berdych: 'Novak Djokovic has played better'

Tomas Berdych says that Novak Djokovic did not have to play his best tennis to win their Australian Open quarter-final.

Tomas Berdych has admitted that his tennis fell short of what was required to beat world number one Novak Djokovic.

The sixth seed lost in four sets to the Serbian on Rod Laver Arena, but he believes that Djokovic has played better during the tournament.

"I've seen him play way better," said Berdych. "He played really good today but the matches before he played much, much better.

"It was kind of a chance for me, but I didn't come up with my best game and that's what was deciding today."

The Czech number one has beaten Djokovic just once in 13 matches.
