Billy Vunipola found not guilty of deliberately striking Matthew Tait

Saracens are able to pick influential forward Billy Vunipola against Clermont Auvergne after he avoided a ban for deliberately striking Matthew Tait last weekend.

Saracens number eight Billy Vunipola will not face a ban for striking Matthew Tait, as his case was dismissed.

The England international was accused of deliberately hitting Tait with his head during his side's 22-6 win over Leicester Tigers last weekend.

However, a three-man panel in London has found him not guilty and he will be able to play against Clermont Auvergne in the European Champions Cup semi-final on Saturday.

Vunipola scored a try in the game at Allianz Park, which extended his side's unbeaten run to seven games.
