Steve Diamond pleased by "good all-round performance"

Sale Sharks coach Steve Diamond believes that the team put in a good all-round performance to beat Bath 19-13.

Steve Diamond has praised Sale Sharks' "good all-round performance" during their 19-13 over Bath last night.

Fly-half Danny Cipriani kicked 14 points to help Sale come from behind to claim the victory.

The director of rugby told Sky Sports News: "It was a good all-round performance. In the first half we dodged a bullet really when they didn't score that second try and I think the game could have changed there, but we managed to get away with it.

"Then we got back into the game in the first half and turned around 16-10 in front and we were confident at half time.

"What Danny is showing is some consistency. He's defending, he's sensible with his game plan and he's sticking to what we say, so Danny played well."

Sale sit fifth in the Aviva Premiership table.
