Jonathan Sexton says that he is "excited" to begin his career with Racing Metro following a switch from Leinster.

British and Irish Lion fly half Jonathan Sexton has expressed his delight in joining up with new team Racing Metro.

The 28-year-old was unveiled to the media yesterday after agreeing a switch to the Parisian outfit from Leinster.

"I'm very excited, it's been a crazy few weeks but I'm really happy to be here," Planet Rugby quotes Sexton as saying.

"The first two days have exceeded all my expectations, I've really enjoyed it and it's been tough work."

Sexton helped guide the Lions to series glory over Australia just over two weeks ago.
