Jonathan Sexton describes the British and Irish Lions' series win in Australia as a "dream come true".

British and Irish Lions fly-half Jonathan Sexton has described the team's series win in Australia as a "dream come true".

The Lions secured their first tour victory since 1997 on Saturday as they beat the Wallabies 41-16 in the third and final Test in Sydney.

"You remember these scenes from '97 and to be a part of the next team to win a series is a dream come true," the Irishman told Sky Sports News.

Sexton scored the second of the Lions' four tries against the Aussies on Saturday.
