Result: Northampton 33-3 Exeter
Northampton get their second win of the campaign, beating Exeter 33-3 at home.

Northampton picked up their second win of the current Aviva Premiership campaign, beating Exeter 33-3 at Franklin's Gardens.

James Downey scored a try in just the second minute to put the home side ahead early on.

Exeter took 20 minutes to get on the board, as fly-half Ignacio Mieres's penalty reduced the deficit to four points.

Saints' Paul Diggin responded five minutes later, extending the lead to nine. Ryan Lamb followed his second successful conversion of the match by scoring two penalties, prior to the half, to put his team up by 17.

Exeter's flurry of second-half substitutions failed to make a difference, as Lamb added another brace of penalties after the break.

Scott Armstrong's score in the final minutes handed Saints their first win since the opening game of the campaign.
