New Zealand's Tim Mikkelson has praised the level of support for the rugby sevens at Ibrox this morning.
Mikkelson and the All Blacks opened up the weekend's action at the Commonwealth Games with a 39-0 victory over Canada, getting the defence of their gold medal off to an imposing start.
The stadium, which is usually home to football club Rangers, was almost full despite the early start, and Mikkelson was pleased with how many fans had come to enjoy the full day of action.
"We thought the crowd might slowly build over time, being the first game, but everyone has turned up nice and early and it's a good crowd," he told Sports Mole.
New Zealand, who have never lost a match at the Commonwealth Games, also face Scotland and Barbados in Group A later today.
