New Zealand's Tim Mikkelson has insisted that he has no individual goals for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The All Blacks are the dominant force in sevens rugby as reigning IRB World Series and World Cup champions, and they are expected to claim a fifth Commonwealth Games gold at Ibrox this weekend.
Mikkelson has established himself as a key player for the team and was named as IRB World Player of the Year in 2012-13, but he insists that his solitary goal in Glasgow is to help his team scoop the top prize.
"No [I don't have any individual targets], I'm just trying to make the final and trying to get another gold. We've got a lot of firepower out wide in our team so I'll just try to help those guys," he told Sports Mole.
New Zealand, who kicked off the action with an emphatic 39-0 win over Canada this morning, also face hosts Scotland and Barbados in Group A.
