A century from Kane Williamson has led New Zealand with the bat on the opening day of their first Test against the West Indies at Sabina Park in Jamaica.
Having won the toss and elected to bat, the tourists got off to a shaky start as opener Peter Fulton was dismissed for a single run in the ninth over, having faced just 19 balls.
However, Williamson joined Thomas Latham at the crease to put on a stand of 165 for the second wicket, before Shane Shillingford caught and bowled the Black Caps' other opener for 83.
As Williamson headed into the 90s, he faced over 30 balls without scoring a run before moving onto 94 in the 90th over of the day and eventually hitting two boundaries off Sulieman Benn in the final over to reach his ton.
Ross Taylor, who was brought out by Latham's dismissal, finished on 34 not out at stumps as the team reached 240-2, with Williamson also not out on 105.
