Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has insisted that his side deserved their win over Exeter Chiefs despite a mixed performance at the Ricoh Arena.
The hosts moved to within three points of the Aviva Premiership playoff spots on Sunday as they earned a 36-29 victory against the Chiefs.
Young admits that his team were inconsistent throughout the encounter, but he believes that they were worthy winners in the end.
"It was a typical Wasps performance: brilliant on occasions, but we caused ourselves no end of problems," he told BBC Sport. "We were ill-disciplined in the first half and we looked to play miracle balls but we deserved to win as they came into our 22 only once in the first half.
"We have got one foot in the top six, but there are no easy games in the Premiership. If we can beat Leicester next up then we can cement our place and go into the last game against London Irish and give the top four a real crack."
Wasps continue their bid to reach the playoffs on May 9 when they host fourth-placed Leicester Tigers.
