Stuart Lancaster feels that Mike Tindall will be out to remind critics of his talent.

England coach Stuart Lancaster believes that centre Mike Tindall will be out to impress when he plays against England for the Barbarians at Twickenham.

Tindall has not been involved with the national side since his infamous off-field antics at the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand. He was fined £15,000 for his actions the day after captaining England to a win over Argentina, and Lancaster thinks that the player will be keen to remind people of his talent.

"It is great that he is playing. I am sure Mike has got a lot to prove by playing at Twickenham and I think it is great that he has the opportunity to do that again," Lancaster said.

Asked whether it was unlikely that he would pick Tindall, Lancaster said: "I think the way we are going in terms of our squad, and trying to pick a group of players towards 2015, yes."

Tindall was omitted from the Six Nations squad and his currently without a club after leaving Gloucester at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old has won 75 caps for England and is prepared to face his country for the Barbarians on May 27.
